There are times in life where everyone feels stagnant, stuck, and maybe even hopeless. During these times of struggle a therapist can help walk with you on a journey of growth and self discovery. Many people have had events in their past that are causing anxiety and depression even though the event is over, but for you it might feel like it is still happening, or comes up at times that make life difficult. Shandi is honored to be a trusted person to help you work through difficult life seasons. Using dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, internal family systems, sandtray, and functional family therapy to help ease anxiety and depression and reframe negative core beliefs. 

Shandi is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who specializes in treating post traumatic stress disorder. Focusing on the false negative beliefs traumatic events can cause, and helping to improve negative self talk and changing negative core beliefs. When we are able to change our core beliefs about ourselves we can heal from the past and face the future with more confidence and joy. Shandi also enjoys helping families to work together as a team using functional family therapy. 

In my personal life I am the proud mom of three boys, two golden doodles, and three cats. I am spiritual but not religious, having an open mind is one of my core values as a person. Helping people heal is my life calling and I am hopeful you will reach out to me!
