Specializations: Trauma, addiction, couples, faith transitions, depression, anxiety, young adults
I bring hope, humor, and compassion into therapy with both individuals and couples. I believe deeply in our inherent strength and resilience as human beings. The thing I love most about being a therapist is having a front-row seat to witness people’s goodness, strength, and resilience in the face of adversity and challenges. I have experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, faith transitions, and addiction.
I believe that people are fundamentally good and worthy and that virtually all of our “dysfunctions” are a result of our adaptation to adverse/traumatic experiences. This belief allows me to take an open, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I can promise that what you are experiencing is real, important, and figure-out-able.
I also believe that a safe, connected, and meaningful relationship between myself and my clients is what allows for healing to occur so I focus on creating a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your experiences, allowing for deep understanding and healing. Together, we will gently navigate the complexities of your trauma and life experiences, fostering self-compassion and empowering you to rewrite your story. Through evidence-based techniques and personalized interventions, I will help you develop essential coping strategies, build healthy relationships, and cultivate a profound sense of self-compassion.
When I’m not seeing clients I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, playing guitar and drums, getting out into nature, working on cars, making videos, and listening to audiobooks.
