Healing from BIPOC Marginalization and Prejudice

The weight of not fitting into the “mold” can be different for each member of the BIPOC community, but to not acknowledge that we carry an extra weight would be a disservice to ourselves. In therapy, healing can be aided by working with a therapist who either understands your cultural background and experience, or is of the BIPOC community themselves. Understanding the different cultural expectations, norms and interpersonal struggles faced in BIPOC communities can facilitate communicating the clients’ struggles and encourage deeper work.

Rediscovering Your Rhythm

It is SO important for us to know what makes us tick and what things keep us in rhythm. When we can identify these values, we are able to live authentically and in balance with the best version of ourselves. We are able to live more in the moment and feel connected to who we are.
