Sam has been doing therapy since 2008 in his home country of Australia and in the United States. His main goal is to help clients feel safe and comfortable in what can be a difficult process. Anyone can get stuck in painful or distressing cycles, and Sam works with clients to identify new options and pathways. With couples and families, Sam helps clients move from feeling hurt and stuck to feeling safe and connected.

Sam has professional training in multiple disciplines, including emotion-focused therapy, Gottman method couples therapy, and cognitive and mindfulness-based therapies. He has worked with well-respected agencies as a therapist and as a supervisor of other therapists.

Sam loves camping, reading, and traveling whenever possible, but if he’s honest, most of his limited free time is spent relaxing with his wife recovering from the stresses of parenthood.
